During your stay

Breakfast:
We serve breakfast in the sixteenth-century Great Hall. Meat-eaters rave about the sausages and bacon from our own hand-reared, free range pigs; there’s plenty for vegetarians too, and eggs come from the chickens who roam the garden. And you can fill up with home-made toast and jams and marmalades, most of which are locally made with fruit from our garden and orchard.

During your stay:

You’re welcome to walk in several acres of garden, and half a mile of rough woodland paths near the house where dogs can go off the lead. For those wanting to explore the local area we have guidebooks and maps available to borrow. Click here for some suggestions of places to go.

Wifi and mobile signal:
We have a fast fibre broadband connection in all our apartments, and in the Great Hall where breakfast is served. There is very little mobile signal locally but the broadband connection is fast enough to enable wifi calling on most mobiles.

Disabled visitors:
Unfortunately the historic nature of Johnby Hall, and particularly its staircases, is such that it may not be suitable for all disabled guests, but we will do our best to accommodate you if at all possible. Please discuss any special needs when booking.

Payment:
We are happy to accept payment by all major credit and debit cards (including American Express) and cash in sterling, euros and US dollars.

Cancellations:
We require a 25% deposit on confirmation of booking which can be paid by credit or debit card or by cheque sent in advance.  In the event of cancellation the deposit is non-refundable.

Arrivals and departures:
Normal check-in time is after 4pm although arrangements can often be made for an earlier arrival on request. Check-out time on the day of departure is 10am.
